NZ Property Podcast EP 10 - Mark Revis & Craig Pickett

How to nail the approval process and more on Christchurch apartments with Mark Revis & Craig Pickett

Welcome to part two of the interview with Mark Revis and Craig Pickett, developers of the Dual-Income apartment complex that we are now helping promote. If you haven't yet listened to part one you can check it out first here.

This week's show is a bit of a case study of how investors can make a product for investors. You will hear how Mark and Craig:

  • Decided on the type of development and the site
  • Engaged the vendor in the due diligence process and broke it into milestones
  • Worked with the council and urban planning team in Christchurch so effectively that approval was completed in under two weeks.
  • Focussed on producing a product that worked for investors in market with extremely high building and planning costs.

This is the first time we've discussed a specific investment on the show and we didn't know how it would go, but the conversation quickly became a casestudy on the points listed above, while the low-key demeanor of Mark and Craig made this a really fun interview to produce. Enjoy the show. Mark and Craig are the directors of Four Avenues Property Group, developers of an exciting investment opportunityin Christchurch.
